MOFFAT, Justice.
On June 30, 1930, the defendant and appellant, National-Union Indemnity Company, issued a policy of public insurance to one Sam Holland upon an automobile truck which he owned. The truck was used in Holland’s business to haul goods between various places in Utah. Holland employed Perry A. Day to drive the truck. He never drove it himself. On September 15, 1930, Holland directed Day to take a truckload of Salt from Salt Lake City to Cedar City, Utah. About noon of September 18, 1930, Day started upon the trip to Cedar City.
