It is contended by the petitioners that their restraint is illegal and unauthorized because the order of the court adjudging them guilty of contempt was made in an action which had been appealed to this court, a petition in erior having been duly filed therein, and a summons issued and served in said action, and a stay of all the proceedings of the district court in said cause having been granted by one of the associate justices-thereof, which was in full force and effect at the time the defendants were adjudged guilty of contempt,, and the order of…
