Defendants move to dismiss plaintiffs’ appeal on the ground that the notice of appeal was not timely filed. We deny the motion.

Following a trial without a jury, on October 2,1996, the trial court entered judgment in plaintiffs’ favor in part and in defendants’ favor in part.
