This action was commenced by Jesse R. Hunter, the appellee, in the circuit court of Adams county, to re- • cover a commission which he claimed was due him for services alleged to have been rendered to the appellant, Oliver H. Gates, as real estate agent, under a contract for the sale of a 160-acre farm.
