The appellant, Charles W: Pardridge, a dry goods merchant in Chicago, who for about eight years prior to the transactions here involved had dealt through different commission men on the Chicago Board of Trade, in January, 1891, transferred his business of that kind to the appellee, Alonzo J. Cutler, who did business under the name of A. J. Cutler & Co. It was agreed that appellee was not to call on the appellant for margins unless the amount required should exceed $5000.
