OPINION

LARKIN, Judge.

Appellants, respondent, and six additional guarantors signed four separate agreements guaranteeing payment of a $5.2 million bank loan to a real-estate company. After the real-estate company defaulted, the bank’s assignee sued all of the guarantors for the unpaid loan balance. Appellants settled with the assignee for $150,000. After the assignee obtained a favorable judgment, respondent settled with the assignee for $400,000. Later, respondent sued appellants for contribution.
