Appellee sued appellant in the superior court of Cook county to recover damages she claims to have sustained from a fall on a public sidewalk of the city of Chicago. The "declaration alleged the fall was caused by the negligence of the city of Chicago in allowing said sidewalk to become and remain in a defective and unsafe condition of repair. Appellee recovered a verdict and judgment in the trial court and appellant prosecuted an appeal to the Appellate Court for the First District, where the judgment of the trial court was affirmed.
