Plaintiff Roger Plumley (“Plumley”) is the owner of U.S. Patent No. 5,167,047 *1061(the “ '047 patent”), entitled “Wire Management Grommet.” The patent claims a device with a pivoting closure tab that allows wires, such as computer cords, to pass through the underside of a piece of furniture, such as a desk. Use of the grommet, and similar inventions, frees available workspace and reduces eyesores by discretely routing such computer cords directly to their intended destination rather than running…
