On May 19th, 1907, the Standard Life and Accident Insurance Company of Detroit, issued to Rufus K. Wood an accident policy insuring him against “bodily injuries effected, directly and independently of all other causes, through external, accidental and violent means,” and therein promised in consideration of the payment in advance of the initial and renewal premiums in said policy, to pay to Ruth M.
