OPINION

FOREMAN, Judge.1

¶ 1 Thaddeus J. Beasley (“defendant”) was found guilty, following a jury trial, of four counts of aggravated assault, two against police officers. The jury did not reach a verdict on a separate charge of attempted murder. He was sentenced to terms of seventeen years on Counts I and III (class 3 dangerous felonies with one dangerous prior conviction) and twenty-three years on Counts II and TV (class 2 dangerous felonies with one dangerous prior conviction).
