This is a bill filed by the purchaser, Mr. Stengel, against the vendor, Mrs. Sergeant, for the specific performance of a written contract of sale for dock property in Newark, and a subsequent purchaser, the Clark company, is also defendant. In the bill, as well as at the hearing, complainant’s right to relief is based on one or the other of two alleged contracts, one claimed to have been made with him by the vendor herself, and evidenced by letters and telegrams signed by her, and the other claimed to be a contract subsequent to these letters and telegrams, signed in her name by…
