The plaintiff claims workmen’s compensation from the State on account of injuries sustained while working on a building being erected in New Britain as a work relief project, under the circumstances hereinafter recited.

Among the laws enacted by Congress which were designed to relieve the situation created by economic depression was an act, approved May 12th, 1933, “To provide for co-operation by the Federal Government with the several States and Territories and the District of Columbia in relieving the hardship and suffering caused by unemployment, and for other purposes.” 48 U.
