This was an action brought by the appellants against the appellees, to recover the amount alleged to be due upon a written lease. A copy of the lease was filed with the complaint. It was made by the appellants (husband and wife) to the appellees, and the term demised was “from the first day of January, 1867, to the first day of January, 1872.” The appellees were to pay to the appellant Adalinc a rent of eighteen hundred dollars per year, in monthly instalments of one hundred and fifty dollars at the end of each month, and .upon the expiration of the lease, either by lapse of time or…
