The defendant, Ron J. Sim, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of three counts of risk of injury to a child in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1997) § 53-21 (2).1 The defendant claims that the trial court improperly (1) denied his request to compel the victim2 to submit to a psychological examination, (2) permitted the state to elicit testimony from the victim’s cousin, (3) instructed the jury with regard to the testimony of the victim’s cousin and (4) permitted the state to amend its information at the close of the state’s…
