Plaintiff, a former railway conductor, brought this action under the Federal employers’ liability act (45 U. S. C. A., §§ 51-59), against defendant railway corporation and the trustee appointed in proceedings for its reorganization under the United States bankruptcy laws, to recover damages for injuries sustained in the course of his employment. A trial to a jury resulted in a verdict for plaintiff. By appropriate and timely motions before and after the verdict, defendants questioned the sufficiency of the evidence, but all such motions were denied. From the judgment entered on the verdict,…
