*434A group of plaintiffs, claiming for themselves and for others similarly situated, brought the underlying action in the trial court for backpay and statutory damages under Kentucky's prevailing-wage law, Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS) 337.505 -550; and the trial court granted their motion to certify it as a class action under Kentucky Rule of Civil Procedure (CR) 23.
