GREGORY, Chief Judge:

On September 20, 2008, Mr. Albert Di-Federico was tragically killed when terrorists attacked the Marriott Islamabad, in which he was staying. We now must answer whether the district court erred in finding that Marriott International, the hotel’s franchisor, was not liable for Mr. Di-Federico’s death. We find that the district court did not err, and therefore affirm.
