Plaintiff, Sallander, a life insurance agent, sued the Prairie Life Insurance Company to recover $4,319.32 and interest alleged to be due him for services rendered it under two alleged oral contracts. The amended petition and the amendment thereto alleges, in substance, that the defendant is a Nebraska corporation; that on November 29, 1916, plaintiff and defendant entered into a written contract, by the terms of which plaintiff agreed, among other things, to “devote all of his time and attention to soliciting risks and procuring new business for defendant,” for a specified commission; and…
