MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER
SCHEINDLIN, District Judge.
I. INTRODUCTION
Plaintiffs have brought a lawsuit on behalf of themselves and all others similarly situated seeking relief for alleged constitutional violations by a unit of the New York City Police Department known as the Street Crime Unit (the “SCU”). 1 A Rule 23(b)(2) class was certified in an Opinion and Order dated January 25, 2001, subject to reconsideration.
