Plaintiff submits the rule is that an assignment by a person engaged in a public service of his salary, wages, fees or other compensation, in anticipation of such compensation being earned, is void as against public policy, and is supported by the overwhelming weight of authority, both of text-writers and the opinions of the courts in adjudicated cases.
