At the 1936 February term of the Court of General Sessions for Anderson County, the appellants were convicted of the murder of one W. A. Daniel, a taxicab driver, and sentenced to death by electrocution.
The undisputed facts regarding the killing show that a cold-blooded and brutal murder was planned and carried into execution, the only motive therefor being that the appellants desired the possession and use of an automobile.
