This suit was brought by appellees against appellants in the chancery court of Howard County to foreclose a vendor’s lien for unpaid purchase money against all that part of the N% of the of section 36, township 7 south, range 27 west, north of Muddy Fork, in Howard County, Arkansas.

Appellants filed an answer and cross-complaint, interposing the defense that appellees had no title to the land when they conveyed it to them, and had acquired none since, and offering to rescind the contract of sale and purchase.
