WATKINS, Judge:

This case comes to us on appeal from the Court of Common Pleas of Northumberland County and involves plaintiff-appellant’s appeal from an order of the court below which denied her motion for a new trial.

Plaintiff, a 22 year old college graduate, was the operator of a motor vehicle on January 5, 1977 when it was struck in the rear by defendant’s vehicle while stopped at a traffic control device.
