This was an action in negligence brought' by the plaintiff, Margaret S. Trout, to recover from the defendant, A. F. Bright, damages as the result of the injuries sustained by her on July 11th, 1931, in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There was evidence to show that the plaintiff stepped off the curb of Broad street some distance from the corner of Broad and Wallace streets, and directly in back of the defendant’s car, in which at the time were the defendant and his wife. It seems undisputed that at the time the plaintiff stepped off the curb the defendant’s ear was at a -standstill. .…
