In several different informations in the Denver district court, the first of which was filed August 16, the others September 18, 1923, plaintiff in error, Maurice Mandell, was charged with conspiracy to defraud, and with larceny, embezzlement, abstraction and misapplication of the funds and securities of the Hibernia Bank and Trust Company of Denver. The result of the trial of the consolidated cases, beginning November 5, was a verdict of guilty, on which the court imposed concurrent sentences of from nine to twenty years in the penitentiary, after denying defendant’s motion for a new trial,…
