On June 17, 1904, the state’s attorney of Henry county, on the relation of John A. Charlson, presented a petition to the court below for a writ of quo warranto against Frank Carlson, Charles Holtman and Oliver Anderson, to require them to show by what warrant they and each of them claimed to hold and execute the office of trustee of the village of Andover in said county, which office said petition averred they had usurped. The court ordered that summons issue, and it was issued and served, and the respondents filed a plea, to which the relator demurred and the demurrer was confessed.…
