MEMORANDUM AND ORDER
TRAGER, District Judge.
Plaintiff Irene Grunblatt initiated this diversity action against UnumProvident Corp. (“UnumProvident”) as the sole beneficiary of a life insurance policy purchased by Maurice Grunblatt, her deceased husband. UnumProvident filed this motion to dismiss pursuant to Rule 12(b)(6) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. Unum-Provident claims that the action lacks diversity of citizenship and does not meet the amount in controversy requirement.
