BRORBY, Circuit Judge.

Plaintiff David R. Jolivet appeals from an order of the district court, awarding him $250.00 in compensatory damages against Defendant Craig Rasmussen, and denying punitive damages. We affirm.1

In his complaint, filed pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Jolivet, then an inmate at the Utah State Prison,2 alleged various claims against Defendants, employees of the Utah Department of Corrections (DOC).
