ATKINS, Senior District Judge:

The City of St. Marys appeals from an adverse verdict in consolidated section 1983 actions which were based upon allegations that the city knowingly approved a pattern of improper police conduct consisting of acts of violence, intimidation, and humiliation. 1 Appellant maintains that the evidence was insufficient to prove a policy or custom establishing the city’s fault regarding the constitutional deprivation of plaintiffs’ rights.
