The determinative question involved in this lawsuit is whether or not a lessor may void a lease with the lessee *505for breaches of the lease claimed after the lessee has exercised the right of option to purchase under the lease by notice given to the lessor pursuant to the lease contract.

The suit was filed by Mrs. Chapman seeking to void a lease on certain property in the City of Knoxville with the Chapman Drug Company. The suit sought possession of the property and damages for waste allegedly committed by the lessee during its occupancy of the property.
