August 6, 1923, respondent Alfred W. Kaylor, while employed by appellant Callahan Zinc-Lead Company, sustained an injury resulting in complete paralysis of the lower limbs. Immediately after the injury respondent was removed to the Wallace Hospital, which had a contract with the appellant Callahan Zinc-Lead Company for the care of its injured employees, and he was still confined therein at the time this cause was heard before the Industrial Accident Board.
