Opinion

PELLEGRINO, J.

The defendants Frank Perrotti, Jr., Ronald Bertasi, William A. Lockwood, Call Peter, Inc., *84and Frank Perrotti & Sons, Inc. (guarantors), appeal from the trial court’s judgment confirming an arbitration award in favor of the plaintiff pursuant to General Statutes § 52-417.1 On appeal, the guarantors claim that the court improperly confirmed the award because (1) they never agreed to arbitrate disputes with the plaintiff and (2) the arbitrators exceeded their powers in making the award. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
