RICH, Judge.

This appeal is from a decision of the Patent Office Board of Appeals, 1 affirming the rejection of claims 20-21 and 23-25 in application serial No. 694,-662, filed November 5, 1957, entitled “Polyethylene.” Claims 1-8, 10-13, 15-19, 22, 26-28 have been allowed..The invention includes certain poly-ethylenes and their methods of preparation. The following are the independent claims on appeal:

20. An irradiated foamed polyethylene, the irradiation having been carried out with high energy ionizing irradiation to an extent of at least about 2 x 106 REP.
