Defendant appeals convictions of kidnapping, attempted aggravated arson, aggravated burglary, and attempted voluntary manslaughter, asserting (1) the trial court erroneously instructed the jury on diminished capacity; (2) the evidence was insufficient to sustain the conviction of attempted voluntary man slaughter; (3) the trial court erroneously failed to suppress defendant’s statements; (4) defendant was incompetent to stand trial; and (5) defendant was denied effective assistance of counsel.
