ON MOTION TO RECALL MANDATE.

The plaintiffs have filed with this court a motion whose purpose is to amend the title of this cause by striking out of the name of the defendant the words "Dock Commission of"; thereupon the name of the defendant will appear as "The City of Portland, a Municipal Corporation," and it will become the judgment debtor. The city earnestly resists this motion. The plaintiffs and the city have filed with us several affidavits setting forth information in regard to the matter thus pending before us. From…
