GREENE, Judge.

Defendant appeals from the imposition of consecutive life sentences imposed by the trial court after the jury returned a verdict of guilty to first-degree rape and first-degree sexual offense.

The State’s evidence tended to show defendant attacked the victim and had vaginal and anal intercourse with her. As a result of the assault, the victim received bruises to the face, blackened eyes, bruised eyeballs, scalp lacerations and injuries to her ears.
