Lead Plaintiff SLM Venture brings this putative securities class action lawsuit against SLM Corporation (“Sallie Mae” or the “Company”) and two of its officers, Albert Lord (“Lord”) and Charles Andrews (“Andrews”). Between January 18, 2007 and January 23, 2008 (the “Class Period”), Plaintiff alleges that Defendants made misleading statements about Sallie Mae’s earnings, underwriting guidelines, and loan forbearance practices in violation of Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the “Exchange Act”). 15 U.S.C. §§…
