These are proceedings in review by different parties assailing an award in favor of dependents of one Selso Morales, who on April 9, 1918, was fatally injured while in the course of his employment, his injuries resulting in death the same day. He and several others were engaged in excavating a trench, when one side thereof caved in, crushing him and three other workmen. It is not disputed that the injury arose out of and in the course of employment and was proximately caused thereby.
