On August 29, 1919, the Railroad Commission of the state of California issued and delivered to J. Scott and others, doing business under the fictitious name of the Kings River Transportation Company, a certificate of public convenience and necessity, authorizing them to operate an automobile stage line over the public highway between the city of Fresno and Maxsons, in the county of Fresno, state of California, for the purpose of transporting thereby persons for compensation.
