The defendant, Eric Scott, appeals1 from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, *94of one count of kidnapping in the first degree in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1981) § 53a-92 (a) (2) (A), one count of assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1981) § 53a-60 (a), and three counts of sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes (Rev. to 1981) § 53a-70 (a).
