In 1880, the appellant, Ole Iv. Snortum, was the owner of a farm of 120 acres in Mower county, upon which he resided with his wife, Isabel A. In October of that year they executed a deed conveying •said farm to Andrew A. Oleson, in which the consideration was stated to be $1,300. In September, 1882, Oleson reconveyed the farm to Isabel A. by deed in which the consideration was stated to be $1,300. These conveyances were recorded as of about the time of their execution.
