Technical Sergeant James W. Sutton was convicted at a contested general court-martial of one specification of soliciting his stepdaughter to engage in indecent liberties, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), 10 U.S.C. § 934. He was sentenced to a reduction to E-4, three months of hard labor without confinement, and a bad-conduct discharge.
