Despite his pleas of not guilty, the accused was convicted of escape from ^finement, the larcenies of mor*197phine, a weapon of a value in excess of $50.00, and an automobile; robbery; wrongful use of habit-forming drugs; and kidnaping; contrary to Articles 95, 121, 122, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 895, 921, 922, and 934, respectively. He was sentenced to a dishonorable discharge, total forfeitures, reduction to the lowest enlisted grade, and confinement at hard labor for twenty years. The convening authority reduced the term…
