In this action, petitioner, Jared DeFazio, seeks compensation under the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 300aa-l to -34 (the Vaccine Act), for injuries he allegedly suffered as the result of a series of three DPT (diphtheria-pertussis-tetanus) vaccinations administered on April 13, May 11, and June 16, 1977. Within days after each of the first two vaccinations, and possibly after the third, petitioner suffered seizures.
