OPINION
PRICE, Justice.
This is an appeal from a conviction for the felony offense of robbery. The jury *533assessed punishment at fifteen years confinement and a fine of $10,000.00.
On August 7, 1981, Angela Capetillo, 76, was waiting at a bus stop in downtown Houston. She was carrying her purse containing some clothes. Somebody from behind began pulling her purse and squeezing her arm. As the purse was pulled free, Mrs. Capetillo fell to the ground, injuring her knees.
