OPINION

UTTER, Justice.

This is an appeal from a jury conviction for the offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault on a Child for which the jury assessed punishment at ninety-nine years in the Texas Department of Corrections. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.

Appellant was arrested on September 2, 1983, and was originally indicted for the offense of Sexual Assault. Appellant was re-indicted by indictment filed October 14, 1983, for the greater offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault on a Child. The new indictment alleged that the offense occurred “on or about the 1st day of September A.D.…
