Plaintiff Hartford Fire Insurance Company filed a complaint seeking declaratory judgment to determine its obligations under an automobile liability insurance policy issued to CMS Trading Company, Inc., the employer of defendant Charles W. Setliff. Setliff accidentally shot and injured defendant Larry N. Pierce while Setliff was a passenger in a vehicle owned by CMS, which was being driven by defendant Pierce.
