Sloan, J.:

This was an action to recover on a promissory note. The sole defense was a denial of execution.

Baker university, a Kansas corporation, maintains a college of liberal arts and sciences at Baldwin, Kan., and is supported largely by the income from an endowment fund established by the university from contributions made largely through the Methodist church.
