This was a suit by S. H. Kerfoot & Co., real estate brokers, against Steele, Wedeles & Co., to recover commissions for services • rendered in respect • to a real estate transaction. There was judgment in favor of the defendants, in the circuit court, which was affirmed hy the Appellate Court for the First District, and the plaintiffs appeal to this court.

It appears that Steele, Wedeles & Co. were tenants of a store in the building on' the south-west corner of South Water and LaSalle streets, in the city of Chicago, whose lease would expire May 1, 1885, and there were tenants of two other…
