This appeal involves the plaintiffs’ efforts to recover a security deposit they made pursuant to their agreement to purchase the defendants’ home. The defendants filed a counterclaim seeking not only to retain the security deposit but to recover consequential damages they claim to have suffered when the plaintiffs failed to purchase their home.
